Orbio is reimagining human capital management for an AI-first world. Founded in 2024 by Sergi Bastardas (ex-Colvin), Nacho Travesi (ex-Cobee), and Antonio Mele (ex-Nucoro), the company is building an AI-native HCM system rather than bolting AI features onto a traditional HR suite. Its premise is that the next generation of HR software should be organized around autonomous agents that handle work continuously, not around forms and dashboards that humans must operate.
At the core of Orbio's platform are conversational AI agents that run around the clock to manage the entire employee lifecycle. That spans recruitment and hiring, onboarding new employees, ongoing development, and retention efforts. Because the agents are designed to operate autonomously, the goal is to reduce the manual administrative load on HR and people teams while keeping employee interactions responsive and personalized.
The target customers are companies that want to modernize HR operations without stitching together multiple point tools. By covering the lifecycle end to end and leading with agents, Orbio positions itself against both legacy HCM platforms and narrower HR-tech products. The founding team's prior experience across consumer, benefits, and fintech startups informs an emphasis on user experience and rapid market expansion.
In September 2025, Orbio raised EUR 6.4 million (around USD 7.5 million) to accelerate its rollout. The round was led by Visionaries Club, which doubled down after an earlier investment, with participation from Plus Partners, Enzo Ventures, and 2100 Ventures. Orbio plans to expand further across European and Latin American markets while deepening its footprint in regions where it already operates, including Spain, Portugal, Mexico, the UK, Italy, and the US.
