Solve Intelligence is a Y Combinator-backed startup building AI for the patent industry, often described as a 'Copilot for IP law.' Its platform helps patent attorneys and corporate IP departments draft and prosecute patents faster, generate patent claim charts, and support litigation workflows. More than 400 IP teams across six continents use the product, with roughly 60% being law firms (including DLA Piper and Perkins Coie) and 40% corporate IP departments (including Siemens and Avery Dennison). The company saw a roughly 10-fold revenue increase before raising its Series B. In 2025 Solve Intelligence raised a $40M Series B co-led by Visionaries Club and existing investor 20VC, bringing total funding to $55M just months after a $12M Series A. Existing backers Thomson Reuters and Y Combinator increased their ownership, and angel investors include founders of Tinder, Canva, Deel, Ironclad and Hugging Face, plus Kevin Johnson, founder of Quinn Emanuel's IP litigation practice. The round coincided with the launch of a new patent claim charting product, Charts.
