Privacy Policy

NeuronFeed is a curated AI startup directory operated by Ali Akbar Fakhri ("we", "us"). We respect your privacy and minimise the data we collect. This page explains what we collect, why, your rights under GDPR and CCPA / CPRA, and how to contact us about your data.

1. Information we collect

• Account data — when you create an account: email address, optional display name, and authentication tokens.
• Submission data — when you submit a startup, deal, or list: the entity details you provide.
• Usage analytics — anonymous, aggregated page views and referrer data via privacy-respecting analytics. No cross-site tracking.
• Server logs — Cloudflare retains short-lived edge logs (IP, user-agent) for security and abuse prevention.

2. Information we never collect

• We do not sell your data, ever.
• We do not run third-party advertising trackers.
• We do not fingerprint your browser.
• We do not collect sensitive financial, health, or biometric data.

3. How we use data

To operate the directory: authenticate sessions, attribute submissions, send transactional emails (e.g. password reset), prevent spam and abuse, and improve content based on aggregate trends.

4. Third-party services

• Cloudflare (CDN, edge runtime, D1 database) — see Cloudflare Privacy Policy ↗.
• Resend (transactional email) — only when you trigger an email action.
• Email subscription — if you subscribe to the newsletter, your email is stored only for that purpose; unsubscribe anytime via the link in every email.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

We use a small number of strictly first-party cookies. None are used for advertising, profiling, or cross-site tracking. We respect the Sec-GPC Global Privacy Control signal and treat it as a valid opt-out request from sale/share where applicable.

6. Legal basis for processing (EEA / UK)

• Contract performance — to operate your account and the Service.
• Legitimate interests — to keep the directory secure, prevent spam and abuse, debug, and improve content quality.
• Consent — for the newsletter (you can unsubscribe one-click from any email).
• Legal obligation — when we must comply with a lawful request.

7. Your GDPR rights (EEA, UK, Switzerland)

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Rectify inaccurate data
• Erase your data ("right to be forgotten")
• Restrict or object to processing
• Port your data in a machine-readable format
• Withdraw consent at any time
• Lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority

8. Your CCPA / CPRA rights (California residents)

California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion, request correction, and opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. NeuronFeed does not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA / CPRA. You may still submit a verifiable request to know or delete your information at [email protected].

9. Data retention

Account data is retained while your account exists. Server logs are retained for 14 days. Submission data remains as part of the public directory unless you request removal. Newsletter subscriber emails are retained until you unsubscribe.

10. Data breach notification

If a breach affecting your personal data occurs and is likely to result in risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify you and the relevant supervisory authority within 72 hours of becoming aware of the breach, in line with GDPR Article 33–34.

11. International transfers

NeuronFeed runs on Cloudflare's global edge. Data may be processed in any Cloudflare region; Cloudflare complies with the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses for cross-border transfers.

12. Children

NeuronFeed is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

13. Changes

If we materially change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page and notify registered users by email where reasonable.
