Mozart AI was founded in 2025 by Sundar Arvind, Arjun Khanna, and Pascual Merita Torres. Arvind was signed to Warner's Spinnin' Records as a teenager, while Merita Torres is a producer, classically trained pianist, and AI researcher, giving the team deep music and technical roots.

The company's core product is a Generative Audio Workstation that blends generative AI features, such as stem generation and agentic music tools, with a traditional digital audio workstation interface. The goal is to keep human artists in control while accelerating the creative process from idea to finished track.

Mozart AI's beta launched in September 2025 and grew quickly, reaching more than 100,000 users and a million songs created within two months, with some tracks reportedly surpassing 10 million Spotify streams. In early 2026 the company raised a $6M seed round led by Balderton Capital, bringing total funding above $7.1M including a prior $1.1M pre-seed.

Backers also include Eventbrite founder Kevin Hartz, Frame.io's Emery Wells, and EWOR. The funding supports team growth, improvements to stem generation and agentic tools, and a full public launch, positioning Mozart AI in the artist-friendly AI music creation space.
