voize is a Berlin-based healthcare AI company building an ambient voice companion for nurses and care workers. The tool listens as nurses speak during their work, understands their notes, and automatically handles documentation, scheduling, and other administrative tasks, giving frontline staff more time for actual care.

The company's models are purpose-built for nursing and developed entirely in-house, designed to capture complex medical language, understand regional dialects, and support non-native speakers. voize reports that over 1,100 care facilities in Germany and Austria and more than 75,000 nurses use the product, saving up to 30% of their time each shift.

In November 2025, voize raised €43M (about $50M) in a Series A led by Balderton Capital, with participation from existing investors HV Capital, Redalpine, and Y Combinator. The funding supports European expansion and entry into the US market.

Founded in 2020 by twin brothers Fabio Schmidberger (CEO) and Marcel Schmidberger (COO) along with Erik Ziegler (CTO), voize was inspired by the founders' experience watching their grandfather enter a nursing home and seeing how much time nurses lost to paperwork.
