Murf AI is a text-to-speech platform that produces studio-quality AI voiceovers for videos, podcasts, e-learning, product demos, and advertising. The platform offers more than 120 AI voices across 20+ languages, plus voice cloning capabilities for branded voice creation.
How It Works
Users paste a script into Murf Studio, select a voice and language, and the platform generates a natural-sounding voiceover with controls for pitch, pace, emphasis, and pronunciation. Murf also supports voice cloning from audio samples, video sync, and direct upload of slides or video for time-aligned narration.
Founders and Team
Murf was founded in October 2020 by Sneha Roy, Ankur Edkie, and Divyanshu Pandey — IIT-Kharagpur classmates. The company is headquartered in India and has grown rapidly across global markets, with the United States and Europe as primary revenue regions.

Murf raised a $10 million Series A in September 2022 led by Matrix Partners India, with existing investor Elevation Capital and angels including Ankit Bhati (Ola co-founder), Ashwini Asokan (Mad Street Den founder), and Pushkar Mukewar (Drip Capital founder). Total reported funding is around $13M. Between its seed and Series A the company grew ARR 22x and synthesized more than one million voiceover projects.
