Shade sells ShadeFS, an intelligent cloud file system for creative and post-production teams that merges storage, block-level file streaming, AI search and review and approval into one platform. On ingest it automatically transcribes, tags and indexes footage, letting users search in natural language by face, spoken transcript or scene description. Files mount as a cloud drive on macOS, Windows, Linux or in the browser, and block-level streaming means 50GB-plus files open without a full download. The platform includes native review and approval with timestamped comments synced to the timeline, branded client delivery collections with role-based permissions, facial recognition and archiving. Enterprise tiers add SSO and SAML, SCIM, session watermarking, audit logging and DRM, and the company states SOC 2 Type 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, TPN and HIPAA compliance. Shade reports more than 60 million assets ingested across brands, agencies and sports organizations.
