Overview
Printify is a print-on-demand (POD) marketplace founded in 2015 in Riga, Latvia. It connects online merchants with a global network of more than 90 print providers, enabling sellers to create and sell custom products such as apparel, mugs, and accessories without holding inventory. When a customer orders, the product is printed and shipped on demand by a partner provider, with Printify handling routing and logistics.
The platform integrates with leading ecommerce channels including Shopify, Etsy, WooCommerce, eBay, and Amazon, and offers a free mockup generator and design tools. Printify has increasingly added AI-assisted design and product creation features to help sellers launch catalogs faster.
Funding and Merger
Printify raised a $50M Series A round in 2021 led by Index Ventures, with participation from H&M Group, Virgin Group, and Dreamers VC. In November 2024, Printify announced a merger with rival Printful as equal partners, combining Printify's broad provider network with Printful's in-house production facilities to form one of the largest production-on-demand companies, with over 2,000 employees. Both brands continue to operate independently post-merger.
