Beijing-based Galbot, formally Beijing Galbot Co. Ltd. (Galaxy General Robotics), was founded in May 2023 by Peking University researcher and former Stanford scholar Wang He. The company develops general-purpose humanoid robots paired with embodied-AI foundation models for mobile manipulation across smart retail, warehousing, logistics and industrial settings. Its flagship wheeled humanoid robot is designed to operate 24/7 in unmanned stores and fulfilment environments. Galbot trains its manipulation policies on large-scale synthetic and real-world data and has built R&D centers in Beijing, Shenzhen, Suzhou and Hong Kong. In December 2025 it raised over $300 million at a $3 billion valuation, becoming China's highest-valued embodied-AI startup at the time, and followed with a further RMB 2.5 billion (~$362M) round in early 2026 as it eyes a Hong Kong IPO.
