Vodex was founded to bring generative AI to outbound voice calling, replacing rigid IVR scripts and expensive human call centers with AI agents that hold natural, real-time conversations. While much of the voice-AI market focused first on inbound support, Vodex zeroed in on outbound use cases — sales outreach, lead qualification, collections, and reminders — where businesses make millions of repetitive calls and struggle with cost, consistency, and scale.

The platform lets companies deploy AI voice agents that call prospects and customers, deliver a natural-sounding human-like voice, understand responses, and carry the conversation toward an outcome such as qualifying a lead, confirming an appointment, or capturing a promise-to-pay. By focusing on low latency and realistic speech, Vodex aims to make automated outbound calls feel less robotic and more effective, while handling volume no human team could match.

Vodex highlights specific verticals like debt collection and automated outreach, where right-party contact, payment reminders, and compliance-sensitive scripting are core needs. For these teams, AI agents promise consistent messaging, around-the-clock availability, and detailed logs of every interaction.

In March 2024 Vodex raised a $2 million seed round led by Unicorn India Ventures, with participation from Pentathlon Ventures, and later received an investment from Google for Startups. The funding supports business expansion and continued development of its generative-voice technology.

Vodex's strategy is to own the outbound-calling slice of the voice-AI market by making large-scale, human-like automated calling practical for sales and collections teams, turning a historically labor-intensive function into software that runs continuously and consistently.
