Thoughtly is a New York-based startup building AI voice agents that aim to sound and respond like capable human reps, with a deliberate focus on making the technology accessible to non-engineers. Its core product is a no-code builder where teams design conversational flows — greetings, branching logic, data capture, escalation rules — and deploy voice agents that handle both inbound and outbound calls. The pitch is to let contact centers and revenue teams stand up sophisticated calling automation in hours rather than through long engineering projects.
The company launched targeting contact centers, where AI voice agents can absorb routine, repetitive calls — qualification, scheduling, reminders, status updates — and free human agents for complex work. Thoughtly emphasizes call quality and naturalness, since a voice agent that frustrates callers does more harm than good, and provides analytics so teams can see how agents perform across volumes of calls.
More recently, Thoughtly has repositioned around the broader problem of conversational engagement for revenue teams, describing itself as the voice layer that closes the gap between CRM systems of record and the conversations that actually drive revenue. CRMs have always stored data but never the conversations themselves; Thoughtly's thesis is that AI agents can both conduct those conversations and feed structured outcomes back into the CRM, including across channels beyond voice.
Thoughtly first raised a $3M seed round in 2024 with participation from Greycroft, Afore Capital, and Expansion, among others. In 2026 it announced an additional $5.5M seed round led by Armory Square Ventures, with nvp capital, Converge, K5 Global Tokyo Black, and returning investors Afore Capital and Greycroft, bringing total funding past $8M. The new capital supports its move toward omnichannel AI agents for revenue teams.
