Intella is a MENA-focused AI company building speech recognition, transcription, analytics, and conversational AI tailored to Arabic. Founded in 2021 by CEO Nour Taher and CTO Omar Mansour, the company operates across Egypt and Saudi Arabia and supports more than 25 Arabic dialects, addressing a market historically underserved by Western models that treat Arabic as a single language.

Intella's proprietary speech-to-text models have reached a reported accuracy of 95.73%, outperforming generic global providers on dialectal Arabic content. Its product portfolio includes high-accuracy transcription, conversation analytics for contact centers, and Ziila, an Arabic-native digital human and conversational agent. In a flagship deployment, Ziila partnered with Jumia to power voice-based ordering for ecommerce customers, while transcription and analytics tools serve banks, contact centers, and government agencies across the Gulf and North Africa.

In September 2025 Intella raised a $12.5 million Series A led by Prosus, with participation from 500 Global, Wa'ed Ventures, Hala Ventures, Idrisi Ventures, and HearstLab, bringing total funding to $16.9 million. The company reported more than doubling revenue in 2024 and projected sevenfold growth in 2025. Capital is being deployed across product development for Ziila, go-to-market expansion in Egypt and Saudi Arabia, and continued R&D to maintain its Arabic-first model leadership.

Intella competes with global ASR providers such as OpenAI Whisper, Deepgram, AssemblyAI, and ElevenLabs, but differentiates through dialect coverage, regional sales presence, data sovereignty, and tight alignment with MENA enterprise and government buyers.
