Gracia AI is a London-based deep-tech startup pioneering production-ready infrastructure for 4D Gaussian Splatting (4DGS), a technique that turns captured real-world scenes into ultra-photorealistic volumetric video that can be viewed from any angle and played back in immersive environments. While Gaussian Splatting has rapidly become a hot area in 3D and spatial computing, Gracia focuses on the harder 4D problem of dynamic, moving scenes over time, and on building the end-to-end tooling needed to make it usable in real production.
The company operates what it describes as the world's first scalable, end-to-end infrastructure for producing and deploying 4DGS volumetric video, spanning raw capture through final output. It ships plugins for Unity and Unreal so developers can drop volumetric video directly into game engines and XR experiences, while WebGPU-based playback enables viewing on Mac and in the browser, and standalone VR playback is supported on devices like Quest 3 and Pico 4 Ultra. This breadth of delivery targets the practical needs of filmmakers, advertisers, and VFX teams who want immersive captured content without bespoke pipelines.
Gracia was founded by Andrey Volodin, previously part of Prisma's breakout success, and Georgii Vysotskii, after a viral technical demo. The company raised approximately $1.7 million in new funding from backers including EWOR and a pioneer of NeRF research, on top of an earlier roughly $1.2 million round, with existing backers including The Venture Reality Fund and Triptyq Capital, for total funding around $2.9 million.
Gracia's technology has already been tested inside next-generation VFX pipelines, adopted for creative R&D at global tech companies, and used to power experiences such as a 4DGS runway show for Karl Kani and immersive content at the PortAventura theme park. Its bet is that volumetric, free-viewpoint video becomes a core medium for XR, advertising, and film, and that owning the full capture-to-playback stack positions it as the default infrastructure for the emerging 4D content ecosystem.
