Overview

Delfina is a digital maternal-health company applying predictive AI to improve pregnancy outcomes. Its platform analyzes individual health signals to anticipate risks such as preterm birth, NICU admissions and hypertensive disorders, then activates personalized care plans, automated care-team tasks, doula support, telehealth and at-home monitoring. The member app delivers education and continuous support throughout pregnancy.

Funding and Backing

Founded in 2021 by Senan Ebrahim, Ali Ebrahim and Priyanka Vaidya, Delfina has raised about $22 million, including a $17 million Series A in early 2025 led by US Venture Partners with participation from ARTIS Ventures, Mayo Clinic and Tokio Marine Future Fund. The company was named to the CB Insights AI 100 in 2025.

Why It Matters

Maternal health outcomes in the United States lag peer nations, and many risks are detectable earlier with better data. Delfina's predictive, proactive model aims to catch warning signs sooner and coordinate care more effectively, improving outcomes for expecting parents and lowering costs for health plans.
