Contoro Robotics tackles one of logistics' hardest automation problems: unloading multi-SKU, floor-loaded trailers and containers filled with mixed boxes and shifting loads. Its robots combine computer vision and AI with a human-in-the-loop supervision model so operators can handle edge cases remotely while the robot does the heavy lifting. Founded in 2022 by Youngmok Yun and headquartered in Austin, Texas, Contoro reports doubling unloading speed and saving hundreds of labor hours per month for customers. In March 2025 it raised a $12M Series A with investors including Doosan, Coupang, the Amazon Industrial Innovation Fund and IMM, bringing total funding to $22M.
