Overview

Yoneda Labs develops AI software for chemistry, working toward a foundation model for chemical manufacturing. Its products help chemists predict reliable conditions for novel reactions, optimize process conditions in days rather than months, and automatically analyze LCMS spectra. The company says its tools roughly double chemists' efficiency, serving customers across pharma, agriculture, and chemical manufacturing, and it is building a robotics lab to run experiments at scale to train its models.

Yoneda Labs went through Y Combinator's W24 batch. It was founded by Michal Mgeladze-Arciuch, Jan Oboril, and Daniel Vlasits, who met at the University of Cambridge; Michal previously worked on ML at Jane Street and researched large AI models at UC Berkeley. In April 2024, Yoneda raised a $4M seed round led by Khosla Ventures, with participation from 468 Capital, Fellows Fund, and Y Combinator, to build out its automated reaction lab and train the first generalizable AI model for chemists.
