Video Rebirth was founded by Dr. Wei Liu, a former Tencent Distinguished Scientist and Fellow of IEEE and AAAS, to bring cinematic-quality AI video to professional production markets like advertising, e-commerce, film, and animation.

The company's differentiation is technical: its BACH engine is built around two proprietary architectures, a Dual Diffusion Transformer (DDiT) for directorial control and Physics-Native Attention (PNA) for character consistency and physical realism. BACH lets users upload reference images, describe a shot sequence, and generate a multi-shot film of up to 30 seconds with a consistent character and per-shot directable emotion.

Video Rebirth first announced $50M in funding in November 2025, then closed an $80M total round in March 2026 after a $30M extension. The expanded round included strategic investors AMD Ventures and Hyundai Motor Group alongside Asian venture firms, supporting compute infrastructure and global expansion.

BACH publicly launched in May 2026 and ranked among the top engines on the Artificial Analysis Video Arena blind benchmark, on par with leading models. Video Rebirth positions itself as an alternative to consumer AI video tools, competing on cinematic fidelity, character consistency, and creative control for studios and advertisers.
