Uplimit, headquartered in San Francisco, was founded by education and AI veterans Julia Stiglitz, Sourabh Bajaj and Jake Samuelson. The platform attacks the usual tradeoff in corporate education between scale and outcomes: asynchronous online courses are cheap to run but have completion rates the company puts at 3-6%, while service-heavy cohort programs do not scale. Uplimit uses AI for course authoring, cohort management, learner support, interactive practice and assessment, including AI role-play scenarios that give learners immediate feedback against instructor-set parameters. The company reports completion rates above 75% and that 95% of learners say they will apply the skills directly to their jobs. Customers cited by the company include GE Healthcare, Kraft Heinz, Procore and Databricks, and it also runs a marketplace of AI, technology and leadership courses taught by outside experts.

Funding

In July 2024 Uplimit announced an $11 million Series A led by Salesforce Ventures, alongside existing investors GSV Ventures, Greylock Partners and Cowboy Ventures and new investors Translink Capital, Workday Ventures and Conviction.
