Turing Inc. (Turing Motors), founded in 2021 and headquartered in Tokyo, Japan, develops end-to-end (E2E) autonomous driving AI and large-scale foundation models that aim to give vehicles human-like understanding of social context and road norms, with the explicit mission of achieving fully autonomous driving. The company achieved what it describes as Japan's first real-time autonomous driving on public roads using a vision-language-action (VLA) model and has released driving datasets for research. Turing partnered with automotive supplier Denso. In November 2025 it raised about $99 million (≈¥9.77 billion) in a Series A plus a ¥5.5 billion credit line, at a valuation around $388 million, backed by a deep syndicate including ANRI, Denso, Canon Marketing Japan, ENEOS, Mitsubishi UFJ Capital, Mizuho Capital, Sony Financial Ventures and Z Venture Capital.
