The founding team — Dave Schools (CEO), Nicolas Klein (COO), and John O'Gara (CTO) — worked together for years as part of the early team at Hopin, where they experienced this problem directly: enormous attendee and customer datasets, but no easy way to turn that data into individualized communication. Singulate productizes the solution, combining AI-driven segmentation with a full email-marketing toolkit, including an HTML campaign editor and analytics.

Rather than positioning itself purely as a copywriting assistant, Singulate operates as an email platform where the AI handles the hard part — dynamically constructing segments and personalizing each branch of a campaign — while still giving marketers control over design and measurement. It can send campaigns through established providers like HubSpot, SendGrid, and Zapier, as well as natively, fitting into existing martech stacks. The company has also introduced Singulate Outbound, extending its approach toward outbound and sales-adjacent email.

Singulate raised a $2.3 million pre-seed round, announced in October 2024, led by Bowery Capital with participation from Seedcamp. As an early-stage company with an experienced operator team and a clear focus on AI-native personalization, Singulate is targeting the gap between generic email tools and the promise of one-to-one marketing at scale.
