What Ocean Does
Ocean is an agentic email security platform built to counter AI-powered email attacks. Rather than relying on surface-level filtering, Ocean deploys AI agents that investigate every incoming email to understand intent and context, detecting targeted phishing, business email compromise (BEC), credential theft, malware and trusted-vendor abuse that traditional secure email gateways miss. It autonomously triages SOC work, manages quarantine and phishing reports, and provides real-time guidance directly in employee inboxes.
Backing and Team
Ocean emerged from stealth in May 2026 with $28M led by Lightspeed Venture Partners, with participation from Picture Capital and Cerca Partners and angels including Wiz CEO Assaf Rappaport and Armis co-founders. Founded in 2024 by Shay Shwartz and Forbes 30 Under 30 alum Oran Moyal, both with elite Israeli defense and intelligence backgrounds, Ocean is based in New York and Tel Aviv and reports replacing customers' entire email-response SOAR playbooks.
