What Seneca Does
Seneca is a Sausalito, California company building an autonomous fire-suppression system to fight wildfires at the source. Its Argo-1 drone carries hundreds of pounds of Class A foam, uses IR and video targeting plus AI to navigate, and can launch from multiple stations to cut response times to under ten minutes. The full-stack hardware, software and AI platform supports rapid-response firefighting, property defense, infrastructure patrol and prescribed burns, with deconfliction from manned aircraft and iOS/web controls.
Funding and Leadership
Founded by Stuart Landesberg, who previously built Grove Collaborative into a public company, Seneca launched in October 2025 with $60M, described as the largest venture financing in fire technology history. The round was led by Caffeinated Capital and Convective Capital with participation from First Round Capital, DCVC, Slow Ventures and others. Argo-1 is scheduled to ship in 2026.
