Ragie is a developer-focused RAG-as-a-Service platform that lets teams add accurate, context-aware retrieval to AI applications without building and operating their own pipeline. It abstracts the full RAG lifecycle, including data ingestion, parsing, indexing, hybrid search and reranking, behind simple APIs so developers can focus on product rather than infrastructure.

The platform combines vector, keyword and summary indexing with agentic OCR that extracts structured content from tables, forms and charts, entity extraction, and multimodal support across text, PDFs, images, audio and video. Native connectors sync data from Google Drive, Notion, Confluence and Slack, and an MCP server exposes Ragie to AI agents directly. Ragie is SOC 2 Type II, GDPR and HIPAA compliant with AES-256 encryption.

Ragie was founded by industry veterans Bob Remeika and Mohammed Rafiq. It was originally developed as the retrieval engine for Glue, David Sacks's chat application, before being spun out as a standalone product.

The company launched in August 2024 with a $5.5M seed round led by Craft Ventures, with Saga VC, Chapter One and Valor participating. Pricing spans a free developer tier through Starter, Pro and Enterprise plans.

With transparent pricing and a clean developer experience, Ragie positions itself as a modern managed alternative to assembling RAG infrastructure or to legacy enterprise search platforms.
