What Prosper AI Does
Prosper AI builds voice AI agents that automate the high-friction phone calls behind healthcare administration. Its agents handle both patient and payer conversations, covering scheduling, insurance benefits verification, prior authorization, and patient billing, and integrate with more than 80 EHR and practice-management platforms. The company says it can resolve over half of calls end to end and deploy in roughly three weeks, serving 60+ outpatient groups and supporting workflows for over 150,000 healthcare providers.
Funding & Background
Prosper AI was founded in 2023 by MIT and Harvard alumni Xavier de Gracia and Josep Mingot, and operates out of New York and Madrid. De Gracia grew up inside his family's medical practice and later ran large call-center operations at Handy (acquired by Angi), while Mingot is a former MIT CSAIL researcher who led product at CoverWallet (acquired by Aon). In June 2026 Prosper raised a $30M Series A led by Andreessen Horowitz, with Base10 Partners, Emergence Capital, Y Combinator, and Company Ventures participating, to expand its AI voice workforce across the patient journey.
