Polybee operates fleets of small, self-recharging, self-launching camera drones that fly greenhouses and open fields autonomously. Imagery runs through a proprietary 3D computer-vision pipeline that measures individual plants at millimetre precision, feeding AI models that produce yield forecasts and harvest-readiness predictions seven to ten days ahead plus early stress detection. The same drones perform pollination in greenhouses using patented controlled-airflow technology that moves pollen from flower to stigma in self-pollinating crops such as tomatoes, strawberries and blueberries, replacing bumblebees or manual stick-shaking. Commercial deployments include open fields of spinach and broccoli. Customers pay a fixed fee per hectare and do not buy drones upfront, with hardware, software subscription and field support bundled together.
Funding
Polybee raised a $4.3 million seed round announced in February 2026, co-led by Paspalis Capital and elev8 VC, with participation from SEEDS Capital and strategic angels including Blue River Technology founder Jorge Heraud.
