Lupa is tackling the fragmented, outdated software stack that most veterinary clinics rely on, where teams often juggle seven or more disconnected tools for practice management, client communication, payments, booking, and records. Lupa replaces that patchwork with a single enterprise-grade operating system purpose-built for vets, with AI woven throughout.

The platform automates time-consuming clinical and administrative work: it generates medical notes from consultations, runs a 24/7 customer-facing assistant for scheduling and follow-ups, and unifies analytics across the practice. The goal is to free veterinary staff from admin overhead so they can focus on animal care while improving the experience for pet owners.

Founded in 2023 and headquartered in London, UK, Lupa was founded by Nicolò Frisiani, Matei Bjola, and Raul Lozano Martin (formerly of Meta). The company reported rapid early growth, citing roughly 50x revenue growth before its Series A.

In October 2025, Lupa raised a $20 million Series A led by Singular, with backing from firstminute capital and angel investors, bringing total funding to about $25 million, just months after its seed round. Alongside the raise, Lupa launched what it describes as the world's first Veterinary AI Lab, a research and product hub staffed by engineers from backgrounds including DeepMind, Meta AI, and Palantir.

Lupa positions itself as the modern, AI-first backbone for veterinary clinics looking to modernize operations and scale.
