Lucio is an India-based legal technology startup founded in 2022 by lawyers Vasu Aggarwal and Darsan Guruvayurappan. It builds an AI-native workspace that consolidates a lawyer's daily tasks: document drafting, contract review, legal research, translation, and compliance tracking. Lucio already works with over 200 organizations and more than 3,000 lawyers across nine jurisdictions. In July 2025 it raised a $5M seed round led by DeVC, with participation from prominent angel investors Ashish Kacholia and Lashit Sanghvi. The company plans to use the proceeds to strengthen its AI models, build deeper integrations with legal databases, expand product features, and grow its presence among law firms and legal professionals in new markets.
