Iridius is a Seattle-based startup building a 'compliance-by-design' AI platform for regulated enterprise workflows. Rather than documenting compliance after the fact, Iridius translates regulatory requirements and company policies into machine-readable compliance logic, then orchestrates compliant workflows and generates continuous audit evidence, an approach it calls auto policy execution. Its initial focus is life sciences, including pharmaceutical companies, with broader applications across regulated industries over time. Founded by Microsoft veterans, including CEO Mike Kropp (two decades at Microsoft and AWS) and Chief Responsible AI Officer Alistair Lowe-Norris (23 years at Microsoft leading responsible AI), with team alumni from Amazon and OpenAI, Iridius raised an $8.6M seed round led by Chalfen Ventures, with Osage Venture Partners, Accenture Ventures and Rock Yard Ventures participating. Accenture serves as both investor and strategic partner, and the company has signed a co-development agreement with a pharmaceutical customer.
