What is Flawless?

Flawless is a Los Angeles and London based AI company founded by film director Scott Mann and entrepreneur Nick Lynes. It builds assistive AI tools for professional film and TV post-production. Its flagship product, DeepEditor, lets filmmakers sync new or adjusted dialogue to an actor's on-screen performance without reshoots, enabling in-vision ADR, censorship edits, and performance refinement. TrueSync applies the same technology to localization, visually 'dubbing' films so actors appear to speak the target language with precise lip synchronization.

Ethics and industry backing

Flawless positions itself against scraped-data generative AI: its systems are built on licensed material with performer consent, developed in collaboration with SAG-AFTRA and industry bodies, and outputs are fully owned by clients. The technology was famously used on the 2022 film Fall to replace profanity and secure a PG-13 rating.

Funding and recognition

The company has raised roughly $33.5M across two rounds since 2021, won HPA and Lumiere awards, and was named to the TIME100 Most Influential Companies list in 2025.
