Coram AI builds an AI-native physical security platform that unifies video surveillance, access control, emergency management and guest management into one system. Unlike legacy camera vendors, Coram works with any existing IP camera and layers modern AI on top, including natural-language video search, facial and license-plate recognition, firearm detection and compliance monitoring, so security teams can find incidents in seconds instead of scrubbing footage. The platform serves schools, healthcare, government, manufacturing, banking, warehouses, airports and Fortune 500 enterprises, and earns strong ease-of-use marks. Coram was founded by Ashesh Jain and Peter Ondruska, both former executives from Lyft's Level 5 autonomous-driving division, bringing deep computer-vision and perception expertise to physical security. In January 2025 Coram AI raised a $13.8 million Series A with participation from existing investors 8VC and Mosaic Ventures, and Battery Ventures partner Marcus Ryu joining the board. The funding accelerates product development and go-to-market for AI-driven video security and workplace safety.
