ChatCut is an AI video editing assistant that takes a plain-English instruction and works out how to execute it on a real editing timeline. Its agent watches the uploaded footage, understands what each clip contains, removes repeated takes and filler, finds highlights and B-roll, and assembles an actual first cut rather than applying a template. Beyond cutting, it generates motion graphics from a sentence — chapter cards, bar charts, timelines, pie charts, keyword typing and emphasis effects — placed directly on the timeline with transparent export available, plus AI captions, AI music generation and AI image generation. ChatCut runs in the browser and also ships plugins that let users drive it from the ChatGPT desktop app or Claude Code, so an agent session can operate the editor. Pricing is credit-based: a free tier with starter credits, basic editing and exports and no credit card required, a $25 per month plan with 100 credits scaling up through larger credit tiers, and a $100 per month plan with 400 credits, all including the full agent editing capability set and access to models such as Seedance 2.0, GPT Image 2 and Nano Banana 2.
