What Accipiter Does

Accipiter Biosciences is a Seattle biotech designing de novo protein therapies for complex diseases such as autoimmune disorders and cancer. Using proprietary computational protein-design methods, the company engineers multifunctional proteins that integrate several therapeutic mechanisms, for example agonizing multiple cell-surface receptors, in a single molecule, aiming for safer, more effective and more convenient treatments than traditional drug combinations. The team progresses from design to lab testing in under two months.

Team and Partnerships

Accipiter's founders worked at the University of Washington's Institute for Protein Design under Nobel laureate David Baker. The company emerged from stealth in November 2025 with $12.7M in seed financing co-led by Flying Fish Partners and Takeda, and has signed a collaboration and license agreement with Pfizer worth an upfront payment plus more than $330M in potential milestones and royalties.
