Abel is a police technology startup that builds an AI toolkit to automate paperwork for patrol officers. By processing body-worn camera footage and other inputs, Abel generates draft reports and handles administrative work that today consumes roughly a third of an officer's time, with the goal of freeing up significant patrol hours. Abel raised a $5M seed round led by Day One Ventures, with participation from Y Combinator, Long Journey Ventures and others.
