Wirestock is a data infrastructure company that supplies AI labs with high-quality, ethically licensed multimodal datasets sourced from a global network of more than 700,000 creative professionals. The platform spans photography, video, illustration, graphic design, and 3D assets, and lets foundation-model builders commission custom datasets to specification rather than relying solely on web-scraped data.

Founded in 2018 as a stock-content distribution tool that helped creators sell across multiple marketplaces, Wirestock pivoted in 2023 toward AI training data supply. The shift has reportedly driven a 20x surge in creator payouts, with more than $15 million distributed to contributors and an annual run rate of roughly $40 million. The company now supplies six major foundation model builders.

Co-founder and CEO Mikayel Khachatryan launched the company alongside Ashot Mnatsakanyan, Vladimir Khoetsyan, and Hovhanness Kuloghlyan. Wirestock is headquartered in San Francisco and employs about 60 people across product, research, and creator operations.

In May 2026 Wirestock announced a $23 million Series A led by Nava Ventures, with participation from SBVP (co-founded by Sheryl Sandberg), Formula VC, and I2BF Ventures. The company plans to use the capital to hire across research, engineering, and product, and to expand an enterprise software offering that lets AI labs collaborate on dataset specifications and quality reviews.

Wirestock's differentiator is the combination of a large, pre-existing creator network, an ethics-first licensing posture, and a workflow specifically tuned for the data needs of frontier model training rather than for legacy stock-media buyers.
