Overview

True Anomaly is a space and defense technology company building autonomous, highly maneuverable spacecraft and the software to operate them for what it calls 'space superiority.' Its products include the Jackal autonomous orbital vehicle, designed for rendezvous and proximity operations, and the Mosaic autonomy software platform that lets operators command fleets through high-level intent rather than manual control.

Funding and Programs

Founded in 2022 by former U.S. Space Force operators including CEO Even Rogers, True Anomaly has raised roughly $1 billion since inception. Its April 2026 Series D of $650 million valued the company at $2.2 billion, with investors including Eclipse, Riot Ventures, Accel and Menlo Ventures. The company was selected among a group of contractors to prototype space-based interceptors for the Golden Dome initiative.

Why It Matters

As orbit becomes contested, the United States and allies need responsive, autonomous capabilities for space domain awareness and defense. True Anomaly's vertically integrated spacecraft and autonomy software aim to deliver those capabilities at the speed and scale modern space security demands.
