The Bot Company is a San Francisco-based robotics startup founded in 2024 by former Cruise co-founder and CEO Kyle Vogt, alongside CTO Paril Jain (a former tech lead and AI manager at Tesla). The company is developing a non-humanoid home robot with a wheeled mobile base and articulated arms designed to pick up, organize, and tidy household objects using cameras, LiDAR, on-device and cloud LLMs, and end-to-end neural networks. Vogt's approach prioritizes forgiving, high-frequency tasks such as toy pickup over high-stakes chores, and the company has stated it rejects in-home teleoperation on privacy grounds. ## Funding The Bot Company launched publicly in early 2024 having already raised about $150 million. In March 2025 it raised a further $150 million Series B led by Greenoaks at a reported $2 billion post-money valuation, with participation from Spark Capital, Quiet Capital, Nat Friedman, Daniel Gross, Patrick Collison, John Collison, and Elad Gil, bringing total disclosed funding to roughly $300 million.
