Overview

Pudu Robotics is a Shenzhen-based commercial service robotics company founded in 2016 by Felix Zhang (Zhang Tao), a Hong Kong University of Science and Technology graduate. Pudu has become one of the world's leading commercial service robot makers, with deployments in restaurants, hotels, retail, and healthcare across more than 60 countries and a substantial share of the global commercial service robot market.

Products and Embodied AI

Pudu's lineup spans food-delivery and serving robots, autonomous commercial cleaning robots, and newer general-purpose embodied-intelligence products, including its full humanoid robot D9 with dual seven-degree-of-freedom arms and the DH11 dexterous hand. Commercial cleaning has become its fastest-growing segment, while the company invests in embodied AI to expand from single-purpose robots toward more general industrial and service tasks.

Funding and Scale

Pudu raised nearly $150M in a 2026 round that lifted its valuation above $1.5B and brought cumulative funding to more than $300M, from investors including Tencent, Sequoia Capital China, and Meituan. With rapid revenue growth and broad global deployment, Pudu is among the most commercially scaled service-robotics and embodied-AI companies.
