Optiml builds Real Estate Decision Intelligence (REDI), a platform that helps institutional real-estate players decide what to hold, sell, invest in or renovate at the portfolio level. Rather than optimizing single assets in isolation, it models entire portfolios to support strategic capital-allocation and capex-planning decisions.
The platform integrates AI, financial modeling and governance frameworks so that recommendations are transparent and auditable—important for institutional investors and asset managers who must justify decisions to stakeholders and regulators. Optiml emphasizes data-driven, explainable decision support over black-box outputs.
Optiml was founded in 2022 as a spin-off from ETH Zurich by CEO Evan Petkov and CCO Nico Dehnert, drawing on academic research in optimization and real-estate finance. As of 2025 the company reported about €2M in contracted annual recurring revenue, indicating commercial traction with institutional clients.
The company raised an €8M seed round co-led by KOMPAS VC and Planet A Ventures, announced in early 2026, with participation from BitStone Capital, The Bau Ventures, Innovation Endeavors and others, building on a 2024 pre-seed round.
