Martian is building an LLM model router, an API orchestration layer that takes in a prompt, searches for the best language model to complete it based on expected performance and cost, and returns that model's result. The company positions itself as a 'Google for LLMs,' routing across hundreds of models to avoid rate limits, balance load and reduce single-provider dependence, and says its approach relies on a mechanistic-interpretability technique it calls model mapping. It offers VPC deployment and SLAs for enterprise users. Martian was co-founded by Etan Ginsberg.
