Kits AI was built by Arpeggi Labs, founded by brothers Evan and Kyle Dhillon, and grew into one of the leading AI voice platforms for music creators with over 4 million users and more than a million voice transformations.
Product
The platform centers on singing-voice AI: 100+ royalty-free voice models, custom AI voice cloning, and a library of officially licensed artist voices where vocalists get compensated — its Kits Earn program lets singers publish voice models and earn passive income. Around the voice tools sit stem separation, vocal isolation, AI mastering, harmonies and an AI instrument library, plus an API for building on Kits audio models. A free plan is available, with paid tiers from about $10/month.
Funding and acquisition
Kits raised a $5M seed in September 2022 led by Andreessen Horowitz, with creator-side backers including Steve Aoki, Lionel Richie, Wyclef Jean, 3LAU, Palm Tree Crew (Kygo), Electric Feel Ventures and WndrCo. In January 2026, sample marketplace giant Splice acquired Kits AI, folding its ethical voice technology into the broader Splice creator stack.
