GridBeyond operates an AI-powered platform for managing distributed and flexible energy resources, including renewables, battery storage, EV fleets, and industrial loads. Its software forecasts and then optimizes assets to unlock new revenue and savings, manage price volatility, improve resilience, and provide grid services such as demand response and balancing. Asset owners and large energy consumers use GridBeyond to participate in wholesale and ancillary markets, optimize batteries, and deploy vehicle-to-grid (V2G) services. Founded in 2010 by Michael Phelan and Richard O'Loughlin and headquartered in Dublin with growing US operations, GridBeyond closed a 52 million euro Series C in April 2024 led by Alantra's Klima fund, with Energy Impact Partners, Mirova, ABB, Constellation, and Yokogawa among the investors.
