FarmQA is a digital agronomy platform built for the professionals who advise farmers, agronomists, crop consultants and agricultural retailers, rather than for growers directly. Headquartered in Fargo, North Dakota, FarmQA replaces the pen-and-paper and spreadsheet workflows that still dominate agronomic advising with a connected, mobile-first system for scouting fields, sampling soil, planning fertility and writing variable-rate prescriptions.
The platform centralizes the agronomist's core tasks. In the field, a mobile app captures crop health observations, pest pressure and soil samples, replacing manual notes. Behind the scenes, FarmQA connects satellite imagery, weather data and equipment sensors to turn raw field data into actionable, data-driven recommendations, and it generates professional, branded reports that advisors can confidently send to their grower clients. The result is faster insight, stronger collaboration between advisor and grower, and more defensible recommendations.
Scale is a key proof point: FarmQA has more than 37 million acres under management, having doubled both its annual recurring revenue and its acreage (from 20 million to 37 million acres) over the past year. That traction reflects real demand among ag service businesses to modernize how agronomic services are delivered, particularly as labor shortages and tighter margins push advisors to do more per consultant. The company is investing its new capital in AI-powered analytics and deeper data integration to push recommendations from descriptive toward predictive.
FarmQA closed an oversubscribed $4 million seed round in May 2025, led by gener8tor's North Dakota-based gener8tor 1889 fund, with participation from O'Leary Ventures (Kevin O'Leary's firm) via the Wonder Fund North Dakota and Badlands Capital. The funding accelerates development of AI-driven analytics, data integration and strategic acquisitions. Agriculture is a flagship under-covered vertical, and FarmQA's focus on the agronomist as the buyer gives it a distinctive, defensible position.
