EngineAI (Zhongqing Robotics), founded in 2022 and headquartered in Shenzhen, China, develops legged and humanoid robots powered by its proprietary SEED multimodal foundation model. Its product line spans humanoid robots (PM01, SE01, SA01, S2 and the mass-produced T800) and quadruped robots (JS01), aimed at building an open, integrated embodied-AI ecosystem. EngineAI operates a factory targeting high-volume humanoid production. The company has raised well over $160 million across multiple rounds: an earlier $27.5M Pre-Series A led by Stone Venture, roughly $139M across A1/A2 rounds with backers including JD.com, CATL Capital, Tsinghua Holdings Capital, Baidu Ventures, XPeng and Rocket Capital, and a $200M Series B in April 2026 that pushed its valuation above RMB 10 billion ($1.4 billion).
