What Daytona does
Daytona offers secure and elastic infrastructure for running AI-generated code. Its core product is an agent sandbox/runtime: isolated, stateless or stateful environments that AI systems use to safely execute code with sub-100ms sandbox creation. Sandboxes support Python, TypeScript, Ruby, Go, and Java, plus process execution, file system operations, Git integration, LSP support, and a Computer Use feature that gives agents programmatic control of Linux, Windows, or macOS virtual desktops.
Developer experience and pricing
Daytona ships a Python SDK (pip install daytona) for programmatic sandbox management, code execution, and file operations, with multi-region deployment and enterprise compliance (HIPAA, SOC 2, GDPR). Pricing is pay-as-you-go with a $200 free compute credit and rates such as ~$0.05/vCPU/hour and $3.95/hour for an NVIDIA H100. Founded in 2023 in New York by Ivan Burazin, Vedran Jukic, and Goran Draganic, Daytona pivoted to AI agent infrastructure and raised a $24M Series A in early 2026 led by FirstMark Capital, positioning itself as a compliance-first sandbox for regulated industries.
