Bruin consolidates the modern data stack into a single tool. The open-source Bruin CLI, written in Go and MIT-licensed, is git-native and self-hostable, and lets teams define ingestion, SQL and Python transformations, and quality checks inside one DAG rather than stitching together separate ingestion, transformation and orchestration products. It ingests from databases, warehouses, SaaS applications, files, APIs and event streams, and produces column-level lineage and automated data quality checks. Bruin Cloud layers on scheduling, governance, AI-generated dashboards and an AI data analyst that answers questions, builds pipelines and takes actions from Slack, Microsoft Teams, Google Chat, WhatsApp, Discord, Telegram, email or the browser, including self-healing behaviour such as pausing bad ad spend or repairing broken reports. Bruin can also read existing dbt, Airflow, LookML, Dagster and Prefect repositories. The company reports SOC 2 Type 2 certification. The UK entity Bruin Data Limited was incorporated on 26 June 2023.
Funding
