Bear Robotics is a Redwood City, California-based robotics company founded in 2017 by John Ha, a former Google software engineer, that develops AI-powered autonomous mobile service robots for the hospitality and restaurant industries. Its flagship Servi robots run food, bus tables, and deliver items in restaurants, hotels, and senior-living facilities, navigating crowded indoor spaces autonomously. The company has shipped thousands of robots globally. ## Funding Bear Robotics raised an $81 million Series B in 2022, bringing total venture investment to about $117 million at the time. In March 2024 it secured a $60 million Series C led by LG Electronics, raising total funding to roughly $177 million. In January 2025 LG Electronics moved to take a controlling majority stake in the company, while CEO John Ha and other key executives remained in place.
