Its platform pairs thermal cameras with AI-powered anomaly detection, predictive maintenance analytics, and 24/7 monitoring support to identify the early heat signatures associated with equipment degradation and fire risk—alerting operators before incidents escalate. The company currently operates across roughly 50 industrial sites in nine countries and had been profitable for two years on no outside capital before raising $2.6M (about €2.2M) in pre-seed funding led by Founderful in May 2026. Founded by University of Zurich researchers Drew Hanover and Thomas Laengle, AVIAN raised to accelerate engineering and deployment as it pushes past $1M ARR.
