Astant Global Management is a London-based macro-focused alternative investment manager preparing to launch a quantitative hedge fund strategy powered by its proprietary AI model, Phoenix. Phoenix applies advanced machine learning and deep learning to analyze and trade economic trends, geopolitical events, and market movements across equities, bonds, currencies, and commodities.
The firm was co-founded by Marcos Agustin and Fahd El Ghorfi while they were students at IE Business School in Madrid, and has since relocated its operating base to London. Astant's broader business spans quantitative systematic investing, private debt, real estate, and private equity opportunities, with Phoenix sitting at the centre of the systematic strategy.
Astant currently manages approximately $5.44M, mostly on behalf of Moroccan agro-industrial group Diana Holding, and is targeting more than $38M AUM ahead of the new fund's formal launch. As an emerging hedge fund manager, Astant is not a consumer product and is not open to retail investors. Capital is reserved for accredited and institutional allocators under standard UK and EU private-fund rules.
