Founded in 2024 by Pranav Rajpurkar, a Harvard Medical School associate professor and pioneer in generalist medical AI, and tech veteran Samir Rajpurkar, a2z Radiology AI is building an intelligence layer for medical imaging. Rather than single-finding point solutions, a2z's flagship a2z-Unified-Triage is the first U.S.-market system to simultaneously triage seven urgent conditions on abdomen-pelvis CT scans, earning FDA clearance. The company is developing AI that provides immediate answers to clinical questions about CT scans and plans to expand across imaging modalities and anatomies, with the goal of drafting preliminary radiology reports and improving radiologist workflow efficiency and confidence. At RSNA 2025 it presented the first prospective study evaluating AI-assisted preliminary report drafting for abdomen-pelvis CT. a2z closed a $4.5M seed round in December 2025 with participation from Khosla Ventures and SeaX Ventures.
