Matthias Niessner
co-founder & chief scientist at SynthesiaMatthias Niessner is a German computer scientist and co-founder of Synthesia, where he serves as chief scientist. Since 2017 he has been a professor at the Technical University of Munich, heading the Visual Computing Lab, after a visiting assistant professorship at Stanford. He holds a PhD in computer graphics from the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg and has received the ERC Starting Grant and Eurographics Young Researcher Award.
